• Educational Background: A strong foundation in information security principles, typically through a related degree or equivalent academic qualifications.
• Professional Ethics: Adherence to the ISACA Code of Professional Ethics to ensure integrity and professionalism in the field.
• Continuing Education: Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning, as per the ISACA Continuing Professional Education Policy.
• Exam Preparation: Adequate preparation for the CISM certification exam, which may include self-study, formal training, or practical experience.

Exam Info & Requirements

• Work Experience: A minimum of five years of work experience in information security management, with at least three of those years in CISM job practice areas, is required.
• Application Fee: There is a one-time application processing fee of USD 50 that must be paid to ISACA.
• Code of Ethics: Candidates must agree to adhere to the ISACA Code of Professional Ethics.
• Continuing Education: Certified individuals must earn and report a minimum of 120 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours during a three-year reporting period
