Course Overview

  • Understanding the risks and hazards of working at height.
  • Types of access equipment for working at height.
  • Inspection, maintenance, and proper use of access equipment.
  • Understanding fall protection systems and equipment
  • Methods of fall protection – prevention, arrest, restraint
  • Practical session on the use of fall protection equipment, including harnesses and lanyards.

  • Risk assessment and hierarchy of control measures
  • Developing rescue plans and procedures
  • Emergency response planning and procedures
  • Equipment and techniques for self-rescue and assisted rescue
  • Rigging and anchor systems for rescue operations
  • Rope access techniques and procedures
  • High-angle rescue techniques and equipment
  • Review of fall protection systems and equipment
  • Practical session on rescue techniques and methods

  • Atmospheric testing and monitoring
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
  • Practical session on confined space entry procedures and atmospheric testing
